Simone is a licensed Physiotherapist in Smithers, BC. Prior to obtaining her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia, Simone worked as a Kinesiologist in Vancouver helping individuals to rehabilitate after motor vehicle accidents and severe work injuries. Simone’s passion for helping others, and desire to expand her skill set, led her to become a Physiotherapist. In 2017, Simone and her fiancé, Ian, pursued their love of the outdoors and made the move to beautiful northern BC!
Simone has personal experience in many sports including competitive rowing, marathon/half-marathon running, triathlon training, weight-lifting, CrossFit, skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. With her experience and education, Simone tailors her treatments to meet and support each of her client’s individual needs and goals. Simone is also passionate about empowering her clients to take an active role in their rehabilitation and injury prevention and gives them the tools to make the biggest changes for the long term.
Simone has gained a variety of skills from post-graduate training that she utilizes in her approach including: Pelvic Floor specialization (including incontinence and prolapse), Vestibular Rehabilitation (dizziness/balance), Level 1 CPA Orthopedic Division Certification, and Fascial Movement Taping. Simone is committed to pursuing ongoing professional education to ensure that her approach is always current and evidence-based.
Outside of the work day, Simone spends her time wood working, weight-training in the gym, and ski-touring and mountain biking with Ian and their dog, Kodi!
